The electricity is generated from Springs Creek located on the property. This provides us with a Independent Power source. We operate a 54 kW Micro Hydro System provided by a turbine and generator. All the power for HeliSprings Chalets and other buildings is provided from this source. We have a 40 kW Katolight John Deere Diesel Generator for back up support when our creek power goes down.
All of the buildings located on the property are heated from a outside Wood Central Boiler that supplies hydronic heating for most of the year. During the summer months the excess power from the Micro Hydro system will heat the water to supply the hydronic heating to the buildings.
